Does anyone know of a relatively inexpensive, good quality in-home or daycare center that accepts infants? My daughter is almost 7 months and I'd rather her be with other little ones, rather than having older kids in with younger kids. I would only need someone 2 days a week and as needed. Any suggestions are great!!
I got my MBA at CSUB with Stacey who now has her own licensed in-home daycare. She has been a supportive friend to me during my pregnancy, and her daughter is just over a year old. She's such a great person you should at least give her a call to see if your current needs match up. Here is her contact Info just let her know I gave it to you. Good luck with the little one-it's always hard having to leave them;)

Hi my name is Melissa and I hope I can help you out! I have been a licensed provider for over 7 years before closing down in Dec. 07. I am in the process of re-opening and am a member of a licensed child care group. What you are looking for might be kind of difficult to find, but there are a lot of great providers on our site that offer different times and days, so someone might have what you are looking for. You can check out website out at http://bakersfieldchildcareprovidersnetworkinggroup.webs.com. Good luck and I hope this helps!
I am in a similar situation, however with a baby that's not due until mid-June! I am trying to find a quality provider in northeast Bakersfield and this is proving to be quite a challenge. Can anyone be of assistance?

Do you know her location? I am over by Stockdale High School and work over on California by the freeway, so a location by either one of those places is ideal.
She lives in the northwest behind the Northwest promenade where the Babies R Us and Target. She lives right by an elementary school, but I can't remember the name of it.
I am also having the same problem. My son is 4 months old. I am a first time mom and I just don't trust anyone to watch him. Did you hane any luck? I noticed a lot of the daycares are expensive and won t give my child the one on one attention that he needs.
Your best bet might be to hire a sitter that can give your babies the one on one you are looking for. As far as the child care being expensive, all I can say is you get what you pay for. Quality child care providers have to charge a good rate because they invest a lot of money into the care of the children they have everyday! You can always call CCCC at 861-5200 and they are a referral service that can help you find licensed providers in your area. Good luck to everyone and I hope you all find a great place that gives your little ones the care they deserve!
