My husband and I are talking about starting to try for number 2. For our daughter we used Dr. Helliwell from Advanced Women's Health Center. I didn't have the best experience but kept him as my gyno. Now his practice has exploded in popularity and appointments require longer waits. I'm thinking of changing doctors and thought I should ask for suggestions here. Also, because of my not so great experience with my first, I've been reading up on the wonderful services doulas provide. Any moms out there have recommendations on who to contact based on personal experiences?

Erika,

I didn't use a doula, but I went to Dr. Edwards at Mercy Southwest. The doctor group is huge (about 10-15 doctors and CNP) and they can usually get you in if it is something urgent, especially for prenatal visits. The wait time in the waiting room averages 30-60 minutes, but Dr. Edwards will spend as much time with you as needed. Definitely recommend San Dimas Medical Group.

Well i am a mother of 3, and used differnt OB/Gyns for all 3 of them either by choose or cause muy insurance changed.
The one i felt the most comfortable with was my last one Dr. Todd Andrews.
He's easy to talk too. and so are the ladies that work in the office.
Hope that helps
as far as a Doula I know women who have used them and it's amixed bag of likes and dislikes. The best thing to do is to contact a couple and see if you can set up a time to talk to them and see if they will be a good match for what you are looking for and go from there.
