- I was having a hard time with finding daycare I felt good about that had openings. My mother and mother-in-law took turns in July, but my mother-in-law is out of country again now. Luckily I have a God sent wonderful stay at home mother friend who is watching Kayla two days a week. My mom watches her the other two and I have managed to get Fridays off for now. It's working. I was so emotional initially having to leave her, but I am getting more adjusted. Also, I often get to see her at lunch. Aren't you working now too? How are you doing with all that?

We are actually in Illinois right now spending some time with family. It is going pretty well. Lauren is all over the place. She has been a great crawler for a couple months, but now she is bear crawling! It looks hilarious. She is also walking along the furniture, so we know what's coming next. Yikes!
Anyway, keep in touch you! Don't fall in to the black hole of the working, timeless mother!

Hi! I'm Katrina (27) and my husband & I welcomed our first baby, a girl, on 3.18.08. We have been married for 4 years, and together for 9. We are originally from Ventura County, where we were born and raised. We made the decision to accept jobs and move to Bakersfield in 2003. So far, it's been one of the best decisions we've made.
